Job Title: CVOR Tech

Description:
The position is for a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist.


Client automatically deducts state tax, which can be re-added.


A valid Washington state license is required for this role.


Candidates recommended by the clinical team will be forwarded for a phone interview.


A driver's license is required at the time of submission.


The main operating room consists of seven suites.


The average number of cases per day across all three specialties is between 22 and 45.


Technologists may be expected to take add-ons as needed.


This position involves inpatient and outpatient cases, with approximately 35-40% being add-ons.


Technologists are required to have certification in basic life support and a Washington state license; national certification is not mandatory.


The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.


A charge nurse is present on every shift and oversees both the main operating room and the cardiovascular operating room.


Technologists are expected to cover weekends and will be on call.


The call requirement is 5-6 days, with call starting at 9 PM and ending at 6:30 AM the following morning.


Weekend call involves a 12-hour shift.


The response time for on-call duties is 30 minutes.


Holidays are covered by rotation among staff.


Scrubs will be provided for the role.


Telecommunications and surgeon services are available 24/7.


Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday and may vary in duration depending on contract.


Technologists may be required to float to the main operating room for vascular cases, provided they have the necessary experience.


Orientation for this role typically lasts one week.


Common case types include general surgery, bowel resection, gynecology, urology, and lithotripsy.


Surgical technicians may rarely handle ophthalmic cases or orthopedic surgeries, as these specialties have their own designated rooms.


Bariatric and plastic surgeries may also be included in case types.


The role requires scrubbing for various procedures.


It is important to note that housing may be challenging to arrange.


Block scheduling will be utilized to facilitate work-life balance.


The facility retains the right to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.


This position falls within an acute care setting.
