Radiologic Technologist

Role Overview This position involves operating digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to produce high-quality images, adhering to safety protocols and organizational policies. The technologist provides patient-centered care across all age groups, ensuring proper image quality, patient safety, and effective communication. Key Responsibilities Operate radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs per physician and protocol specifications. Maintain radiation safety, evaluate images for quality, and ensure accurate patient identification and labeling. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, safety, and patient experience. Maintain a clean, safe environment, manage supplies, and ensure equipment functionality through quality control activities. Communicate effectively with patients, obtain medical histories, and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding. Prepare patients for procedures, support their needs, and escalate concerns appropriately. Document activities in electronic health records and ensure timely distribution of images for interpretation. Adhere to organizational values, ethical standards, and safety regulations, supporting a respectful environment. Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree or accredited radiologic technology certificate. Registration with ARRT required upon hire in Maryland, and within 90 days in Washington, DC. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required upon hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Effective communication skills and basic computer knowledge preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
