General Production Associate - Various Departments

Derrick Corporation seeks reliable and safety‑minded General Production Associates who thrive in an active production setting. Team members will be cross‑trained in a variety of departments—including Assembly, Layout, Motor/Machine, Industrial Painting, Screen Cloth, Shipping, and Urethane—and play a key role in meeting daily production goals. Our journey began over seven decades ago when H. William Derrick Jr. laid the foundation in 1951 in Buffalo, NY. Today we are a third‑generation, family‑owned and operated organization with over 600 associates worldwide, and 2026 marks our 75th year in operation. Responsibilities Follow work instructions to meet job specifications Adhere to all safety regulations Clean and maintain all equipment Measure to confirm equipment parts meet specifications Load and unload materials safely Operate various equipment and/or machinery Assemble heavy components using hand and power tools Read blueprints to ensure work is performed to specifications Check tolerances and dimensions to ensure quality standards are met Make a positive contribution to maintaining a healthy, safe, neat, and tidy workplace Qualifications High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree also welcomed) Reliability and strong attendance history Ability to learn quickly and take direction from leads and supervisors Ability to read a tape measure Math skills to work with addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals Desire to be cross‑trained in different departments and skills Positive attitude Teamwork skills Driver’s license highly preferred Standard work week of 47.5 hours. Overtime is paid daily for anything over 8 hours per day. The position is full‑time and non‑exempt. Shift Schedule Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
