Interventional Consultative Cardiologist – Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Stony Brook Medicine’s Heart Institute seeks an interventional and consultative cardiologist to expand cardiovascular services in Southampton, New York. Responsibilities Lead the growth of a general cardiology practice and interventional service. Provide independent STEMI call coverage at a community hospital with cath‑lab support. Deliver outpatient and inpatient cardiology care, including interpretation of echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac imaging. Collaborate within a collegial, team‑based environment and contribute to program development. Qualifications MD, DO, or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). U.S. work authorization. Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. 1–2 years of post‑fellowship experience with independent PCI/STEMI call coverage. Experience managing a high‑volume general cardiology practice. Preferred Level II echocardiography or advanced imaging training, including nuclear imaging. Preferred Qualities Desire to live on or near Southampton Village or the North Fork to ensure timely STEMI coverage. Commitment to academic teaching and research.
