Opportunity Overview In this critical role, the Manufacturing Mechanical Supplier Engineer serves as the technical bridge between our engineering teams and global supply base-driving innovation, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality across complex electro-mechanical systems.

Opportunity Overview In this critical role, the Manufacturing Mechanical Supplier Engineer serves as the technical bridge between our engineering teams and global supply base-driving innovation, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality across complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Influenceproduct design to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.
- Collaboratewith design engineers to ensure new products are production-ready andsupplier-capable.
- Leadsupplier qualification for prototype and production builds, includingtooling and test process development.
- Drivecommodity strategy in alignment with Teradyne's cost, quality, andresponsiveness goals.
- Ownthe technical hand-off from design to high-volume manufacturing (HVM)partners and provide support as needed.
- Conductsupplier audits and develop quality plans to ensure compliance andperformance.
- Supportdrawing reviews, PFMEAs, control plans, and inspection/test plans toensure robust production processes.
- Championcontinuous improvement using Six Sigma, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and otherquality tools.
- Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+years of experience in a technical engineering role within a manufacturingenvironment.
- Deepunderstanding of precision machining, injection molding, casting, andmaterial joining methods (welding, brazing, soldering).
- Workingknowledge of GD&T and ANSI Z359.14-2021.
- Provenexperience with supplier quality tools (PFMEA, control charts, etc.).
- Strongproject management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellentcommunication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiencyin MS Office Suite and statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
