Job Title

RN – Pre-Op / Post-Op (Acute)

Contract | Days | 36 hours guaranteed | 12-hour varied day shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through the pre-operative and post-operative phases for a variety of surgical cases including Endoscopy, Urology, Orthopedics, Dental, and ENT
• Manage patient care within a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio across Pre-Op and Post-Op settings
• Administer and document medications and supplies utilizing Omnicell and Meditech charting systems
• Collaborate with equipment representatives and surgical team members present for the majority of cases
• Support a department operating approximately 150–160 cases per month across three OR suites

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nebraska or a Compact State
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pre-Op and Post-Op setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued through the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued through the American Heart Association
• Reliable personal transportation required for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records for clinical charting
• Experience working alongside surgical equipment representatives in an OR environment
