Phlebotomist

Location: 160 N Independence Boulevard, Romeoville, IL. Work Schedule: Monday/Thursdays 8:00am‑11:30am, Tuesdays/Wednesdays 8:00am‑4:30pm, Fridays OFF, Saturdays 8:00am‑12:00pm Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program Three (3) months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Certification or training must come from an accredited agency if no prior work experience Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay Range: $17.50 – $24.50 per hour Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Stock Purchase Plan Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan Employees regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO Equal Opportunity Employment Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
