The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 individuals and encompasses Manchester Memorial Hospital, a community facility with 249 beds, Rockville General, a 102-bed campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. This region caters to approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Using the nursing process, you will deliver high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families. It is essential to communicate the patient’s clinical status appropriately, responding swiftly and accurately to any changes in condition or treatment response. You will demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles throughout the lifespan and possess the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population. Additionally, you will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school with current licensure in the State of Connecticut is required.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support is necessary upon hire or must be obtained during the introductory orientation period, with ongoing clinical competency maintained throughout employment in this role.
