Restore Dental Arts • Northwest Indiana (Chicago metro adjacent) • Full-time, on-site The Organization Restore Dental Arts is a clinician-owned, multi-location dental group founded as a deliberate alternative to private-equity consolidation in dentistry. The organization operates two locations with approximately $6.5M in annual revenue and 40 employees, supported by an in-house laboratory and a PACE-approved continuing education platform. Growth plans call for 4–7 locations by 2029 under a governance model built for permanence: dentist majority ownership always, no passive investors, no private equity, and a confederation structure designed to preserve clinical autonomy and mission as the platform scales. The Opportunity This is a design mandate. Restore’s founding CEO currently functions as the organization’s operational center of gravity; the Head of Operations will architect the operating system that ends that dependency — a tiered performance scoreboard, RACI-based accountability architecture, a multi-entity financial operating dashboard, an enterprise staffing model, and an acquisition integration playbook — then install and run that system across a growing multi-site platform. Governance will be familiar to candidates from academic medicine: the role reports singly to the CEO, while the co-founding Chief Clinical Officer holds defined approval rights over clinical-adjacent decisions (clinical staffing, clinical vendors, protocols, schedule templates). The structure functions as a triad — CEO, CCO, and Head of Operations — with a standing monthly triad meeting where cross-lane issues are resolved at the Executive Leadership level. The first-year arc is explicit: a 90-day listening-and-diagnosis period across both locations culminating in a sequenced operational plan presented to the triad; core operating system designed and installed by day 180; system running, second location stabilized, and founders structurally less load-bearing by day 365. The Candidate 5–10 years in healthcare operations, currently at Director or Senior Manager level within an academic medical center, integrated delivery network, or mission-driven multi-site clinical organization Has designed and built — not merely administered — a service line, quality program, integration effort, or new clinic launch Administrative Fellowship alumni (Mayo Clinic and peer institutions) strongly encouraged to apply Demonstrates ambition beyond current role scope: graduate education, board service, professional leadership, published thinking Energized by direct founder partnership rather than corporate hierarchy; finds satisfaction in building institutions designed to outlast their builders Compensation and Trajectory Base salary of $95,000–$115,000, performance bonus tied to scoreboard outcomes, and profit participation structured as a defined percentage of EBITDA growth above baseline. Total cash compensation can reasonably reach $150,000–$200,000+ at full performance in years 3–4. The title carries a defined path to Chief Operating Officer at established institutional thresholds (5+ locations, sustained multi-year performance, confederation operating layer built out).
