About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum 5 years of Trauma Level I experience required License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS, CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: - Trauma Level I experience - Required certifications in hand to submit Description: Daily average surgical case volume is 65. The facility has 35 rooms. The average daily tray volume is 393. Specialization includes total joints, neuro spine, neuro craniotomies, open heart, lung and heart transplants, DaVinci, plastics, and ENT. Floating within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities is mandatory for all travelers. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Travel experience is required. Previous charge experience is not required. Candidates should have experience with biological indicators, cleaning equipment, case cart management, sterilization wrapping procedures, and scope/probe reprocessing. Experience with specific medical equipment such as bronchoscopes and laparoscopic tools is preferred. Proper selection of wrapping materials and steam sterilization testing/monitoring is essential. Candidates must provide 2 supervisor references. Local residents are considered local travelers. Candidates are responsible for their compliance with the requirements.
