Job Title: Operating Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience; 1 year CVOR experience; 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, NIH Must-Have: - 2+ years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience - 1 year CVOR experience - 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility Description: The Operating Room RN will work in the CVOR. The position requires flexibility with scheduling. Shifts will include a mix of 2x8 and 2x12 hour shifts, with potential call hours. Call hours begin at 7 PM each weekday night. On weekends, call is required and divided into 12-hour blocks. The amount of call is based on the number of staff members and may change each month. The ideal candidate should have general OR experience and specific cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant knowledge. Experience with charting systems, specifically EPIC, is required. Candidates should possess strong skills in various surgical procedures and equipment relevant to the CVOR specialty. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, including infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol procedures.
