OverviewWe are seeking a mission-focused Systems Administrator to support Navy enterprise IT environments. This role is responsible for maintaining servers, networks, and cybersecurity compliance across classified and unclassified systems. You'll work closely with senior administrators and cybersecurity personnel to ensure system availability, security posture, and performance in support of Fleet operations and depot modernization initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Windows and/or Linux-based systems, ensuring consistent uptime and secure configurationConfigure and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOsPerform routine maintenance: patching, backups, log reviews, and system health checksSupport virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud deployments (e.g., Azure)Assist in implementing and maintaining RMF controls, DISA STIGs, and security baselinesMonitor and respond to incidents, alerts, and user support requestsDocument network/system configurations and standard operating proceduresCoordinate with cybersecurity, software, and helpdesk teams to ensure operational continuityMinimum QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)4-6 years of hands-on experience in network and systems administration, preferably in a DoD environmentCompTIA Security+ CertificationWorking knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking principlesFamiliarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and system hardening practicesStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD IT environmentsFamiliarity with RMF, STIGs, and vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS, Tenable, Nessus)Experience with enterprise tools such as SCCM, WSUS, or SolarWindsKnowledge of PowerShell scripting or automation tools
