Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Orthopedic Surgical (Night Shift, 13-Week Contract)

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 35-bed Orthopedic/Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• Care for patients undergoing bariatric procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and general surgical procedures including laparoscopic and joint replacement cases
• Utilize MEDITECH EMR and unit equipment including computer on wheels, Hospira pumps, and iMobile phones
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and unit clerks as part of a structured night shift team
• Float to designated units including Med/Renal, Oncology, Med/Surg Tele, CVTS, and Telemetry as needed
• Adhere to weekend shift requirements, including up to 4 weekend shifts per schedule cycle

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Ability and willingness to float to other units as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bariatric, Medical/Surgical, or Orthopedic certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with MEDITECH EMR
