Unit Supervisor (RN) – Emergency Department Leesburg, VA, United States Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor – Emergency Room (ER) to join our team. This full‑time night position (Monday–Friday, three 12‑hour shifts 7:00 pm–7:00 am) includes rotating holidays and on‑call duties. During orientation, nurses will rotate through day, mid‑shift, and night shifts. Eligible nurses qualify for sign‑on and relocation bonuses. Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor – Emergency Room (ER) Responsibilities Front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve clinical operation of the unit. Embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision‑making structures and processes. Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor – Emergency Room (ER) Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; or, Associate Degree RN within one year of completing BSN program. Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse. Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Training: Inova RN Unit Supervisor and Charge Nurse Training within 3 months of start date. Preferred Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department/Trauma Center with additional charge or supervisory responsibilities. Certification: Specialty certification specific to unit within 1 year; current ACLS and PALS. Education: BSN or MSN preferred.
