Key Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and adjust treatments based on patient progress
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and make referrals or modify services accordingly; provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Accurately document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system, including treatment minutes, progress notes, and comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Ability to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists; adhere to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience
• Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehab experience required
• Active Oklahoma State SLP License required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required
• New graduates considered if clinical experience includes a Level II placement (Level I observation experience alone does not meet eligibility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience supervising Clinical Fellows (CFY) or SLP students
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in long term care or rehabilitation settings
• Experience obtaining and coordinating DME or clinical supplies per regulatory requirements
