About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required in an emergency setting. License: Current state nursing license required. Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS - PALS - TNCC Must-Have: - Must have experience in a Level III Trauma Center. - First-time travelers are accepted. - Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Description: Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department. Manage and prioritize emergency care for patients with a variety of acute conditions. Perform assessments and implement nursing interventions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias appropriately. Provide care for ventilated patients and administer IV sedation. Utilize EPIC for documentation and medication administration. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, utilizing SBAR. Participate in patient and family education regarding health issues. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Demonstrate competence in pediatric and adult emergency care. Handle trauma cases, including gunshot wounds and significant injuries. Recognize and address mental/behavioral health conditions. Engage in routine training and professional development activities. Fulfill weekend shift requirements based on the posted schedule.
