Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: California state license required Certifications: Basic Life Support Must-Have: 1 year of rehabilitation experience Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a rehabilitation setting. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients recovering from various conditions. The average daily census is 10 patients, with a room capacity of 14. Patients participate in 3 hours of therapy daily, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy as dictated by their rehabilitation diagnosis. Weekend work is required, every other weekend. Floating to other areas may be expected, depending on patient census. Candidates must have experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation. Charting experience with Epic is required. Nurses will assist in the administration of medications and therapeutic interventions. Candidates should be skilled in various nursing procedures, including wound care, IV maintenance, and patient assessment. The role involves working in an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Travelers should be adaptable and willing to cover shifts as needed. References will be required from previous employment within the last 3 years. Candidates must be able to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
