We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills, and strong design capabilities.We seek a candidate with expertise with the development of plans and specification for airside facilities such as runways, taxiways, and aprons, as well as landside roads, general civil/site development, storm water collection and treatment, and other related projects. We provide competitive compensation, career growth opportunities, and are committed to sustainability, recently ranked as the 14th most sustainable company globally.Your Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for design and post design efforts on engineering design of commercial and general aviation airport improvements, including pavement, drainage, utility, and landside/site projects.Coordinate and direct efforts of technical staff to develop high-quality deliverables.Review plans for conformance with scope of services and standards.May be responsible for the review and sealing of own projects.Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.Interaction with Stantec clients.Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures; and review plans for conformance with FAA design standards.Your Capabilities and CredentialsDemonstrated successful experience with engineering/design of commercial and general aviation airport improvements, including pavement, drainage, utility, and landside/site projects.Thorough knowledge and application of FAA design standards and specifications.Knowledge of FAA and state airport capital funding processes.Expertise using engineering design and office software, including AutoCAD Civil 3-D and MS Office.Ability to exercise discretion and balance the need for independent and collaborative efforts.Construction administration and observation experience preferred.Oversees preparation of as-built plans.Excellent communication skills and a skilled problem solver, with a commitment to thrive in a proactive organization where client service and individual excellence are paramount.Education and ExperienceBachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Florida or the ability to attain within 6 months.6+ years related experience in airport infrastructure and transportation design.Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
