Comprehensive Pain Consultants, a PartnerCare affiliated company, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant, to join our growing and established practice in West Asheville, NC.

Our practice focuses on taking care of the patient with a comprehensive plan, delivering high customer service, keeping patients safe and well-informed and reducing patients' pain as much as possible.

Duties

The Medical Assistant role will provide outstanding service, compassion, and care to our patients. They will work as part of the care team with the Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure the patient has the best possible experience. Duties include: providing a warm and welcoming patient experience while preparing the patient and their information for their visit with their provider, assisting with the medical appointment as instructed by the provider, cleaning, preparing and stocking rooms, communicating with the patients and other providers about their care as instructed by the provider and documenting accurately about the visit in the electronic medical record.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience in pain management or specialty care preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
• Experience with C-arm fluoroscopy and knowledge of procedures including RFA and SI joint injections preferred.
• Proficiency in EMR systems; eClinicalWorks experience a plus.

We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.

About the Practice:

Comprehensive Pain Consultants of the Carolinas (CPC) was founded in 2009, and until 2017, was only providing outpatient contracted services in hospitals. In 2017, CPC opened its first freestanding clinic in Marion, NC. Today, CPC is the largest interventional pain management group in Western North Carolina, with four freestanding clinics featuring procedure rooms and six freestanding feeder clinics staffed by a midlevel provider. Education and Experience:

• High school diploma
• Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistants/Aides course
• Previous work experience preferred.
• Current ACLS and/or CPR certification
