Family Physician (Primary Care) – Job Description

Position: Family Physician (MD/DO)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Elma, WA

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Physician to provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages, from infants to older adults. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine services, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management.
• Manage an assigned patient panel and establish long-term provider-patient relationships.
• Diagnose, evaluate, and treat patients across all age groups using evidence-based practices.
• Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, risk management activities, and clinical policy development.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical records and documentation.
• Participate in medical record reviews, accreditation activities, and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Support community outreach and patient education initiatives promoting health and wellness.
• Contribute to departmental planning, staff collaboration, and process improvement efforts.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted Washington State medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA registration and current ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare technology.
