The Showroom Assistant position is a front-office role; this means that you will be the first point of contact for customers who visit or call the showroom. In other words, you will be an ambassador for the company, so you must have great communication skills and the ability to work well with clients. Job responsibilities will include answering the phone, scheduling and helping customers in the showroom with window covering and custom closet solutions, and completing administrative tasks, meant that the ability to multitask is essential to success in this position. You also will work in a proprietary database—a CRM or Customer Relationship Management database, so being detail-oriented is a must. Some of your duties will include: Answering the phone, greeting customers Showing customers what's the latest in window coverings and home organization Scheduling appointments Maintaining the cleanliness of the showroom Maintaining sample books and displays Working daily in a CRM database, Excel spreadsheets, and other computer programs This position is best suited to a person who enjoys customer service and using interpersonal skills to help others and solve problems. The ideal candidate for this position is energetic, positive, organized and conscientious. You should be able to demonstrate advanced skills in the following areas: active listening, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, customer service and computer/internet technology. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and capable of working with a team or independently. This full-time hourly position pays in the range of $12 to $18 dollars per hour based on experience.
