St Vincent PT Service is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Matawan, New Jersey. This full-time position will allow you to make an impactful difference in the lives of patients by providing high-quality care in their homes. You will be entrusted with creating personalized treatment plans and engaging patients in innovative rehabilitation approaches.

Work Environment

This role is primarily an onsite position in the homes of our clients, allowing you to work in a comfortable and familiar setting for your patients. You will interact directly with them and their families, creating an engaging therapeutic environment. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, providing a balanced work-life framework conducive to delivering consistent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing overall muscle function.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure they implement the care plan effectively and safely.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clients, employing diagnostic tests that assess muscle, nerve, and functional abilities.
  • Assess and recommend modifications to patients’ home environments to support their rehabilitation goals and enhance their independence.
  • Administer a range of therapies, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and treatments incorporating physical agents.
  • Evaluate and fit patients with prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing recommendations for modifications as necessary.
  • Document client progress meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with OASIS guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in case conferences to strategize comprehensive treatment approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and assistive device usage, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Timely submission of all clinical and payroll documentation in accord with organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range from those recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The focus is on providing tailored treatments to enhance mobility and daily living skills, thereby improving patients' quality of life. Your expertise will help bring a sense of agency and independence to clients, positively affecting their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current PT licensure in good standing in the state of New Jersey.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have automobile insurance.
  • Demonstrated communication skills for effective patient and family engagement.
  • A strong commitment to clinical excellence and integrity in patient care delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or home care setting.
  • Experience in implementing evidence-based practice methodologies to optimize patient outcomes.
  • A strong background in evaluating and prescribing appropriate therapeutic interventions for various orthopedic conditions.
  • Understanding and proficiency with federal and state regulations pertaining to physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
