Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Monitor fetal heart rates and health during labor using intermediate fetal monitoring
• Administer appropriate interventions in labor, delivery, and postpartum settings
• Circulate in the operating room during cesarean sections and related procedures
• Ensure patient safety through the effective use of medical equipment and EMR systems such as CPN (Centricity) and Meditech

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications
• Experience as an O.R. Circulator
