Shift: Days (3x12)

Responsibilities

Perform ordered CT exams across the assigned caseload, including emergent studies when assigned

Administer oral and IV contrast per orders and facility protocol, monitoring patients during and after injection

Operate CT equipment, selecting approved protocols and applying dose-optimization and ALARA radiation-safety standards

Capture diagnostic-quality images and complete reconstructions per protocol, providing finished studies to radiologists

Travel CT Tech Requirements:

2+ years of recent CT Tech experience.

Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by South Carolina and national regulatory bodies.

As the Lowcountry's only Level I trauma center (with Level I pediatric trauma through Shawn Jenkins Children's) and the state's only solid-organ transplant program, imaging and surgical caseloads run at high complexity. The Ashley River Tower houses nine operating rooms with integrated vascular-surgery equipment, interventional radiology and endoscopy suites, a chest-pain center, and three ICUs a dense procedural environment for OR, IR, and endoscopy techs. The NCI-designated Hollings Cancer Center supports radiation therapy, dosimetry, and oncology imaging. The Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital adds the state's only Level 4 NICU and a pediatric burn program, widening neonatal respiratory and pediatric procedural work. Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology run through the Heart & Vascular Center for cath-lab and cardiovascular techs, with CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound imaging across the campus.
