Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Card, ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs. - Ability to implement and evaluate individual plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. - Ability to provide explanations and instructions to patients or responsible persons. - Clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition. - Professional communication skills to manage conflict and contribute to a healthy workplace environment. - Adherence to Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care. - Commitment to participate in continuing education. - Maintenance of complete and accurate medical records. Description: The operating room nurse will work three 12-hour shifts, with on-call requirements as needed. The role emphasizes the delivery of exceptional patient care. The nurse will assess and address the diverse needs of patients. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team is essential. Providing clear instructions and explanations to patients and their families is expected. Clinical judgment is necessary to identify and respond to changes in patient conditions.
