Job Description
Registered Nurse - ER Hold / Medical-Surgical Float

Schedule

Weekend: Every other weekend. Call: None.

Assignment Details

Contract length: Not specified. Orientation hours: Determined by contract.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Patient-ratio experience: 4-5 patients.
• Licensure: GA or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
• Charting system: Epic.
• Clinical skills: Med/Surg care, Rapid response participation, Peripheral line management, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation precautions/PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for ER hold and short-stay medical-surgical patients.
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities.
• Administer oxygen and manage airway support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and use of PPE.
• Document patient interactions and care through the designated charting system.

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; lack of compliance may delay start. All compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to start. Requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at submission; no RTO requests post-offer or during orientation week. Travelers are generally expected to work major holidays that fall during their assignment.
