Manager, Corporate Philanthropy

Join the Maryland Food Bank at a pivotal moment of growth and strategic transformation as we expand our corporate philanthropy program and deepen partnerships that fuel our mission. The Manager, Corporate Philanthropy (Manager) is a relationship-driven professional who will help build and scale a high-impact corporate partnership program to sustain Maryland Food Bank’s (MFB) momentum. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Philanthropy (Director) and will work closely with Frontline Fundraising, Grants, Annual Fund, Marketing, Volunteer Engagement, Operations, and Programs teams to translate strategy into coordinated, mission-aligned action. The Manager will serve as the primary relationship lead for a defined portfolio. The role will play a lead role in implementing MFB’s corporate engagement matrix, will bring strategy to life through structured, repeatable engagement pathways that integrate giving, volunteering, cause marketing, and mission-based experiences, and will ensure a consistently high-quality partner experience. The position will support MFB’s premier corporate engagement events and will work closely with the Director to implement and refine systems, tools, and practices that drive long-term partnership growth and revenue sustainability. This role will contribute to the Maryland Food Bank’s long-term fundraising strategy and campaign readiness by strengthening corporate partnerships and expanding sustainable revenue streams. Primary Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of 75–100 corporate partners and prospects, driving engagement, retention, and revenue. Serve as the primary relationship lead for a specific portfolio, developing and executing tailored engagement and communication strategies. Build long-term partnerships aligned with corporate social responsibility goals and MFB’s priorities. Implement corporate engagement strategies that integrate giving, volunteering, cause marketing, and sponsorship opportunities. Lead execution of the corporate engagement matrix, ensuring consistent, high-quality partner experiences. Support planning and execution of cause marketing campaigns, including promotions and point-of-sale initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver partner assets, recognition, and impact reporting. Support corporate events and sponsorships, including partner engagement, benefit fulfillment, and post-event stewardship. Track and analyze portfolio performance, maintaining accurate records and providing insights to inform strategy and growth. Basic Qualifications 2–4+ years of fundraising, business development, or sales experience with a track record of meeting revenue goals. Experience managing a portfolio and driving pipeline development (outreach, cultivation, solicitation, and closing). Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS 365 and experience with fundraising databases. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising CRM. Experience implementing or operationalizing new programs, frameworks, or engagement strategies. Experience developing or supporting corporate engagement or partnership models. The Maryland Food Bank (MFB) is a nonprofit, anti-hunger organization whose mission is to feed people, strengthen communities, and end hunger for more Marylanders. MFB does this work by expanding access to nutritious food while also seeking to eliminate the root causes of hunger. MFB distributes food through a statewide network of community-based organizations from Maryland’s western mountains to its Eastern Shore. Last year, the Maryland Food Bank distributed enough food to provide the equivalent of more than 41 million meals, or about 114,000 meals every day. This healthy food supports children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families. Beyond food distribution, MFB works to end hunger for more Marylanders by offering job training programs, access to supportive services and benefits, and by advocating to change the laws, policies, and practices that create food insecurity for more than 1 in 3 Marylanders.
