Shipping And Receiving Clerk

This role focuses on supporting a streamlined production and shipping process by carefully handling incoming and outgoing products, following clear standard operating procedures, and maintaining high accuracy in documentation and packaging. You will work with a simple, well-defined system to receive, inspect, photograph, label, and prepare products for shipment while collaborating with other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and accurately document all items in the required systems.
• Unbox and inspect incoming products, following established intake procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Take clear intake photos of products as part of the receiving and documentation process.
• Repackage and box products according to company standards to ensure safe and secure shipment.
• Print, apply, and verify labels on products and packages to maintain accurate tracking.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items match order specifications and documentation.
• Identify, address, and resolve exceptions and errors promptly and efficiently, escalating issues when necessary.
• Follow all established SOPs consistently to maintain quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Perform repetitive production and shipping tasks with sustained focus and accuracy.
• Provide support to other departments and stations as required, assisting with related production, assembly, or shipping activities.
• Maintain an organized work area and handle products carefully to prevent damage.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding order status, issues, and process improvements.

• Strong attention to detail to accurately receive, document, and prepare products and orders.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling small parts, labeling, and packaging tasks.
• Comfort using basic documentation or inventory systems to record incoming and outgoing items.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Capability to identify and address exceptions or errors in a timely and efficient manner.
• Willingness to support multiple departments and adapt to different stations as needed.

• Experience in electronic assembly is a bonus.
• Previous experience in production, shipping, receiving, or a similar environment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with taking product photos or visual documentation is helpful.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a smaller, lab-style environment with a structured yet hands-on workflow. You will move between departments and workstations throughout the day, performing tasks that require standing, sitting, and moving comfortably for the full shift. The work is repetitive but supported by clear SOPs and a straightforward system. You will handle products, packaging materials, labels, and basic documentation tools in a setting that emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and consistent processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
