Quad Axle Dump Truck Driver - Saltwell/Bridgeport, WV Job Description Summary This position is responsible for the delivery of products and materials between facilities, job sites, and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Transport aggregates and other materials to job site in a safe manner * Make assigned deliveries in a safe and timely manner * Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution * Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail * Maintain complete and accurate records such as drivers' daily truck log, fuel tickets, delivery documentation, and any other required documents according to state and federal regulations * Maintain good customer relations * Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problems * Obtain necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping department * Operate vehicle according to state and federal laws and observing all safety regulations established by the company and the Department of Motor Vehicles * Provide and document proper routine maintenance of assigned truck * Survey job site and unload cargo in the best area available in a safe manner * Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, brakes, fuel, oil, and water * Develop good knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors, and pallet package * Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned equipment operations, product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic * Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed with other positions for job completion * Perform general labor duties when necessary * Must be willing and able to cross-train to run other internal truck positions (Moffit truck, Boom truck,Tractor trailer, and Concrete truck) * Will be required to run other internal trucks due to business needs (Moffit truck, Boom truck,Tractor trailer, and Concrete truck) Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements / Education / Experience * High school diploma / equivalent * Must possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B, however Class A preferred and/needed for Tractor fill-in * Must have at least 2 years of current CDL experience * Clean MVR * Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level. * Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public * Good knowledge of the product for product quality assurance * Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Must have good communication skills * Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety. * Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition. * Must be able to check truck for maintenance needed and report deficiencies promptly. * Must pass drug test, "Fit to Work" physical, and background check.
