Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.Responsibilities include:Translate engineering designs and sketches into detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using Creo/WindchillCreate and maintain detail part drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standardsDevelop and update interface control documents (ICDs) under the direction of design engineersPerform basic tolerance stack-up checks and drawing reviews to ensure manufacturability and dimensional accuracySupport engineering change requests (ECRs/ECOs) by updating drawings, models, and associated documentationMaintain configuration control and version management of CAD models and drawings within Windchill PLMCollaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and fabrication issuesSupport first-article inspection and production by clarifying drawing intent and dimensional requirementsEnsure drawings comply with company standards, industry codes, and customer requirementsAssist in creating and maintaining bill of materials (BOMs) for structural assembliesQualifications:3-5+ years of experience creating detailed drawings and models for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structuresProficiency with Creo (Pro/E) and Windchill 10Strong understanding of GD&T principles and application (ASME Y14.5)Experience creating detail part drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings for metallic and/or composite structuresFamiliarity with fastener callouts, weld symbols, and standard hardware representationStrong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering intent from sketches, models, and verbal directionAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Experience with configuration management processes and PLM systems (Windchill preferred)Familiarity with manufacturing processes for metallic and composite structures (machining, forming, layup/cure)Experience supporting first-article inspection (FAI) and production floor troubleshootingUnderstanding of material call-outs and basic material compatibility considerationsExperience working in a regulated aerospace environment (AS9100 or similar)Base Pay Range for:WA applicants is $34.39 - $48.14Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
