Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an Operating Room position requiring total joint replacement and endoscopy experience.

Details

• Operating room setting within a teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Must float to endoscopy department a couple times per week as needed
• Holiday coverage required if needed, with no on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of current CST experience required
• Total joint replacement experience required
• Endoscopy experience required
• Precepting experience required
• NBSTSA certification required (equivalent certifications such as NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• License required if applicable
• Supervisory signed reference required from within the past two years of employment
• Must have own vehicle as the area lacks public transportation

Additional Information

• Assist with surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Support total joint replacement and endoscopy cases as part of regular duties
• Work within a teaching hospital recognized for patient safety excellence
• Facility does not accommodate shift schedule requests such as block scheduling or 10/12-hour shifts
• Any RTO requests must be submitted at time of offer as post-offer scheduling requests will not be approved
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted during the assignment
• Must be available to work two required holiday blocks, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods with surrounding weekends
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be provided as part of candidate profile
