If this challenge is for you, you belong in AFSP.We are currently seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer for the Sentinel Program to establish technical solutions and product design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic systems!As aModel-Based Systems Engineer, you will:Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems definitions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsEstablish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planningDefine Key performance parameters, technical performance measures and the associated derived requirementsSupport requirements and verification team projects and coordinate regularly with key partners to maintain program objectivesBe responsible for drafting, reviewing, and releasing requirements specification documents, including defining the requirements and verification baselineDevelop Specifications and Interface Control DocumentsUse MBSE tools and processes to generate synergistic models to establish linkages across verification artifacts and requirementsQuickly become a proficient independent contributor with Cameo and DOORS and apply systems engineering change control process to maintain control of requirementsUse your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutionsThis information reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Basic QualificationsExperience in Systems Engineering concepts and processes during a product lifecycleExperience in multiple Systems Engineering functions in a development program setting, such as:Subsystem design or analysisCONOPS developmentModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles, and tools (SysML/Cameo)Requirements development and management processes, principles, and tools (DOORS), including functional analysis, allocation, or verificationSystem trade studiesSystem Integration, Test and/or VerificationDesign reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)Demonstrated ability to work with multiple engineering field to identify technical product characteristics to develop requirements specificationsActive DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance; US Citizenship requiredDesired SkillsExperience working in the development phase of a Space or Missile development program preferably for the US GovernmentMissile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems EngineeringExperience with US Air Force Weapon Systems ProgramsIdentifying, decomposing, allocating and verifying/validating requirementsCoordinating with multiple key partnersKnowledge of Agile methodologyDemonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive changeExcellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team membersKnowledge of AI-assisted requirements/specification developmentMaster's Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate CertificateActive DoD Top Secret ClearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
