Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
Location : Remote
Duration : 6+ Months Description and Overview The VCF Design and Deploy Senior Consultant will implement architectures defined by the VCF Architect, focusing on build, integration, and validation activities within customer environments. This is a tactical delivery role requiring strong technical skills and customer-facing professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure VCF 9 components (VCF Management Domain, vSAN, Workload domains, and NSX).
- Execute build plans, implement network/storage policies, and validate integration points.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, escalating as needed.
- Work alongside the Architect to align delivery with design specifications.
- Document configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures for customer handoff.
- Provide knowledge transfer and support customer teams during Day-1 and Day-2 activities.
- 5+ years VMware delivery experience in professional services or consulting.
- Hands-on deployment of VCF 5x / 9x
- Strong technical skills in vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in customer-facing engagements.
- Experience with VCF Suite, VKS (formally TKG), or automation frameworks.
- VCF 9.0 Management Domain deployment
- vSAN cluster build and storage policies
- NSX deployment and network configuration
- SDDC Manager operations and lifecycle tasks
- Implementation & Integration
- Execute build plans from architecture specifications
- Configure network and storage policies
- Validate integration points and dependencies
- Perform post-deployment validation and testing
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
- Diagnose and resolve deployment issues
- Log analysis and root cause identification
- Performance tuning and optimization
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Create configuration documentation and runbooks
- Document operational procedures for customer handoff
- Build as-built documentation
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions
- Customer Collaboration
- Work directly with customer technical teams
- Align delivery with Architect's design specifications
- Support Day-1 and Day-2 operations activities
- Professional customer-facing communication
- vSphere administration and configuration
- NSX implementation experience
- vSAN deployment and management
- VCF Operations (preferred)
- Basic automation and scripting skills
- Preferred - VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator (2V0-17.25)
- Optional - VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (2V0-13.25)
