Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment in accordance with established infection control practices and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper processing in compliance with infection control standards.
• Follow established protocols for equipment maintenance and safety.
• Work collaboratively with health care teams to ensure a sterile environment.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new staff, as needed.

Schedule Requirements

This position involves 8-hour day shifts with flexibility in scheduling being a must. A 40-hour workweek guarantee is provided. Weekend and holiday work may be required, as determined by the facility's needs.

On-Call Requirements

Participants may be required to take on-call assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician.
• Active certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (NCCT certification is not accepted).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must have reliable transportation for commuting to the assigned location.

Additional Information

Travelers may not request time off for all holidays and are required to work during major holiday blocks, including but not limited to:

• Thanksgiving weekend
• Christmas Eve through Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve through New Year's Day
