Design Sales Consultant

Job Purpose: Primary responsibility is to drive new sales to residential builders and interior designers in a particular area. Work requires substantial knowledge of items sold. Essential Functions: Answer builder's and designers questions about products, prices, availability, product users, and credit terms. Acquire and facilitate the transfer of floor plans for measurement. Provide samples and catalogs and recommend products based on customers' needs and interests. Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain product features. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, delivery rates, and solicit orders. Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Prepare quotes and pricing that meet specific customer needs. Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences. Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales. Negotiate details of orders and payments and prepare sales order forms. Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense reports. Obtain credit information about prospective customers. Education – High school or equivalent GED preferred Experience – None To Two Years Of Related Experience Preferred.
