Network Engineer IV

Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex communication networks across our organization. The role involves overseeing switching hardware, monitoring network performance, administering system configurations, and collaborating with technical architects. Primary Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement complex communication networks. Oversee all aspects of switching hardware from core to network edge, including documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and change control. Work with a team to configure and install systems, administer system security, and support system administration. Build and maintain WAN, data center, and core networks and integrate with all enterprise systems. Lead the design, architecture, and management of network infrastructure to best support business initiatives. Monitor network performance and recommend changes and upgrades based on utilization. Collaborate with technical architects on network and other system designs. Provide assistance to the Network Engineer team with escalated advanced network troubleshooting issues. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies, products, and trends related to architectural solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent education and experience. 7+ years of network engineering expertise supporting 100+ site WAN and LAN environments. Proficiency with core, distribution, and access switching and routing technologies and data center technologies (MPLS, vPC, EtherChannel, BGP, OSPF, policy-based routing). Strong knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications including TCP/IP routing and subnetting, QoS, MPLS, IPSec. Understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact. Experience implementing and supporting SD-WAN environments. Strong knowledge of load balancing and global server load balancing. Strong troubleshooting skills. Experience supporting voice and video over the WAN. Experience using Visio or other tools for documentation. Strong organization and analytical skills; detail-oriented.
