Position Information Job Title: Adjunct Economics Instructor Location: Yuba Community College District, Yuba City, CA Open Until Filled: Yes Job Description BASIC FUNCTION: Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Economics courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of Economics classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired REQUIRED DUTIES: Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Qualifications Master’s in economics Bachelor’s in economics AND Master’s in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science OR equivalent. Additional qualifications: sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Economics to community college students.
