DAY TO DAY AS A MORTGAGE SERVICING SPECIALIST

As a Mortgage Servicing Specialist at Greenville Federal Credit Union, you'll play an essential role in delivering an exceptional mortgage experience for our members. In this position, you will ensure the accurate and timely administration of mortgage servicing activities, including escrow analysis, homeowner's insurance and property tax disbursements, loan funding, and loan boarding.

Working closely with loan processors and internal teams, you'll help ensure loans are funded, booked, and maintained accurately while adhering to regulatory requirements and credit union standards. You'll also perform quality control reviews, manage post-closing activities, and assist with ongoing servicing requests to support the integrity of our mortgage portfolio.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A MORTGAGE SERVICING SPECIALIST

To excel as a Mortgage Servicing Specialist at Greenville Federal Credit Union, candidates should possess a solid educational foundation of a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 1 year in the lending or financial sector, with at least three years specifically focused on mortgage loan closings, is essential. Familiarity with South Carolina mortgage lending laws and regulations will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are critical for accurately preparing and reviewing loan documents while ensuring compliance with TRID, RESPA, and TILA regulations.

Additionally, excellent communication skills will facilitate collaboration with various stakeholders and enhance member interactions. Proficiency with relevant software and tools will support efficient workflows and help drive the success of your contributions in this fast-paced environment.
