Medical Assistant – Specialty Skin Care & Treatment

Medical Assistants (MAs) provide essential clinical and administrative support in a specialty outpatient clinic, assisting with patient care, procedures, and office operations. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support both providers and patients in a fast-paced environment.

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00am – 5:00pm

Pay

• $21.00 - $22.00 DOE

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Procedure Assistance: Support providers with in-office procedures, including biopsies, excisions, laser treatments, injections, and other specialty procedures.
• Patient Intake & Preparation: Review medical histories, record vitals, and prepare patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring proper positioning and comfort.
• Sterilization & Setup: Clean and sterilize instruments, prepare procedure trays, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment.
• Laboratory & Diagnostics: Collect, label, and process patient samples for diagnostic testing.
• Wound Care & Post-Procedure Support: Assist with suture removal, apply topical treatments, and support patient recovery following procedures.
• Medication Administration: Apply creams, ointments, or injections as directed in accordance with clinic protocols.
• EMR Documentation: Accurately document patient visits, procedures, and treatments in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Patient Communication & Education: Provide patient education regarding procedures, post-care instructions, and follow-up guidance.
• Inventory & Office Support: Maintain clinical supplies and assist with inventory management to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements

• 2 years of clinical experience as a medical assistant in cosmetic treatment or wellness spa.
• Proficiency with EMR systems for accurate patient documentation (Nextech) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to educate and reassure patients.
• Bilingual abilities a plus.
• Certification in CPR a plus.
• Experience in adherence to sterile technique protocols required.
