Registered Nurse (RN)University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake's Heart Institute Electrophysiology (EP) has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN).Work Schedule:100% FTE, M - F, no weekends or holiday shifts allowing for work life balance in the beautiful northwest communityDay ShiftDepartment Description:The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake & SLU provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.The Electrophysiology and Device Clinic provides both general and specialized electrophysiology services, with expertise in diagnosing and managing cardiac rhythm disorders, pacemakers, defibrillators, and ablations.Position Highlights:Engage in Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device monitoring, programming and managementUtilize strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent phone-based triage and communication abilitiesThe RN will collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, radiology team, research team, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and optimize the medical care of our complex patient populationClinic is conveniently located near public transportationOpportunity for ongoing professional growth and learningPrimary Job Responsibilities:Deliver expert clinical care and care coordination, perform wound and device checks, support device programming, manage remote monitoring, triage patient calls, and provide education to patients and families in a setting that fosters professional growthOversee remote cardiac device data, including reviewing pacemaker, defibrillator, and loop recorder transmissionsTriage incoming data, conduct patient phone assessments, and document findings in EPIC for Electrophysiology Providers to reviewSupport patients in setting up and using remote monitoring equipment, assisting with transmission troubleshooting, and educating them on device monitors and related applicationsRequirements:Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of WashingtonAt least 2 years of inpatient or outpatient cardiology/telemetry experienceBLS & ACLSAbout UW Medical Center-Montlake:UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
