Position Overview - CDL Class B Driver (Templeton, MA)We are thrilled to present an opening for a CDL Class B Driver within our Commercial team.
This position involves operating our bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and installing blasting products for clients at local construction sites, mines, and quarries. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment.
This hybrid role comprises approximately 40% driving and 60% physical tasks related to the installation of blasting products. Key responsibilities include:
- Loading products and driving a Class B CDL truck.
- Pulling hoses and operating control systems of manufacturing units.
- Climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions.
Additionally, you will operate equipment to deliver blasting products while ensuring high-quality service of bulk explosives to our customers. Safety is our top priority, and we are committed to conducting all operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Work Schedule- Monday through Friday
- Local driving (1-3 hours)
- Early morning starts between 3 AM and 5 AM
- Approximately 10-12 hours of work per day
- Overtime may be required
- Up to 10% overnight travel may be necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and replenishing fluid levels.
- Safely connect and disconnect trailers.
- Drive emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks.
- Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled and stored according to regulations.
- Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control.
- Report any unusual incidents or accidents immediately.
- Engage in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving and/or handling materials is preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations is required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Attention to detail and basic math skills for daily inventory management.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Work environment includes outdoor conditions in various weather.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and carry over 50 pounds of products or materials.
- Must be capable of loading products, pulling large hoses, filling holes, and climbing on/off the truck.
- Frequent shoveling of gravel to fill drilled holes throughout the day.
- Engage in pushing/pulling while working with equipment.
- Regular bending and squatting are required.
- Must possess a Class B CDL; Class A is a plus.
- Tanker endorsement is preferred.
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred.
- We will assist in obtaining necessary endorsements.
- At least one year of driving experience is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Compensation- Hourly Pay Range: $28-34
- Signing Bonus: $4,500
- (Salary will be determined based on the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.)
