About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, travel experience required License: Active state or compact license required Certifications: Required certifications in the relevant field Must-Have: - Travel experience - Oncology experience preferred Description: Travel experience is required. Oncology experience is preferred. Previous charge experience is desired. Patient ratio experience is expected. Candidate must be able to manage and access ports. Skills in administering chemotherapy and blood products are mandatory. Experience in acute tumor lysis syndrome and anaphylaxis is necessary. Candidate should be proficient with intravenous hydration and managing infusion pumps. Experience with various cancers including breast, lung, and leukemia is essential. Ability to monitor chemotherapy and manage side effects is required. Knowledge of advanced directives and palliative care is important. Candidate must also be familiar with medication tolerance and dependency assessment. Demonstrated skills in patient and family education and support are preferred. Neutropenic precautions and wound care experience is a must. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as therapy and pharmacy is necessary. Candidate should be willing to float within the facility as needed. Professional references may be required upon request.
