About the Role

As a Crew Member at Speedee Labs, you won’t be working in a traditional restaurant—you’ll be helping McDonald’s test the future. Speedee Labs is a global innovation center where new menu items, equipment, processes, and technology are tested before being launched in restaurants around the world.

You’ll receive hands‑on training in restaurant service, food production, food safety, and operations while supporting experiments that influence how McDonald’s operates globally. Along the way, you’ll collaborate with teams from different countries and have opportunities to interact with business leaders and innovators from around the world.

Schedule & Pay

• Hours: Typically, 30–40 hours per week*

• Schedule: Monday through Friday

• Evenings & weekends off

• Shift Times: Generally, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

• Pay: $17.50 per hour - 19.89 per hour

*Because of the nature of our work and to support continuity of testing and operations, this role requires regular availability for 30–40 scheduled hours per week.

What You’ll Learn & Do

You’ll be fully trained to perform all core McDonald’s crew positions, gaining valuable, transferable skills while contributing to meaningful innovation work.

As a Speedee Labs Crew Member, you will:

• Learn and follow McDonald’s procedures for service, food production, and food safety

• Help operate a lab restaurant used to test future innovations

• Support experiments that improve menu items, equipment, processes, and technology

• Help ensure visits from global market leaders are positive and productive

• Work alongside managers, engineers, and global partners to meet daily innovation goals

A Day in the Life at Speedee Labs

On any given day, you may:

• Participate in training or certification activities

• Work as a drive‑thru order taker, table service team member, or grill person

• Prepare and taste McDonald’s food from markets around the world

• Collect data during innovation experiments

• Validate that new technology and equipment are functioning effectively

• Support leadership tours, tastings, or global visitor sessions

• Help keep the lab clean, organized, and food‑safe
