RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (RT) PRN NIGHT SHIFTS

AMG SpecialtyHospital - Zachary is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists(RT) for night shift. The selectedapplicant will be required to work every other Wednesday night for theperformance of technical work concerned with administering therapeutic anddiagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonarydeficiencies and abnormalities. Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment,such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas deliveryapparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental controlsystems, and aerosol devices; administering medical gases, humidification,aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintaining clearance of patientsnatural and artificial airways; obtaining blood samples and interpreting bloodgas data; and providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Job Requirements
  • Completionof an approved respiratory care program
  • Active LouisianaRespiratory License
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLScertification
  • Minimum of one to threeyears of related work experience
  • Ability to read andcommunicate effectively in English
