Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30; 09:00 - 21:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Competence in circulating in the operating room Experience with the Cerner charting system Experience in Trauma Level II Description: This position is for an OR Registered Nurse. Shifts will typically be from 07:00 to 19:30 or 09:00 to 21:30. Some days may require flexibility in start and end times. Nursing staff will be required to work three weekends every six weeks. Holiday coverage will be based on unit rotation. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience. First-time travelers will be accepted for this role. Experience with the following procedures is essential: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair Abdominal and Vaginal hysterectomy Administration of blood and blood products Arthroscopy Cholecystectomy Colon resection Cystoscopy General OR procedures Laparoscopic assisted procedures Spinal Fusion Wound Management Candidates must adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards. Teamwork and effective communication skills are imperative. Candidates should be prepared to float based on facility staffing needs. This position does not have call requirements. All travelers are required to comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination policies, with exceptions only for medical or religious reasons.
