Pharmacy Technician (Sole Mia), Full-Time

Job Summary The Pharmacy Technician 1 prepares medications for patients under the guidance of a Pharmacist. Assists the Pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions, price‑checking, and restocking of drugs. Job Functions Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records. Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals. Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs. Refers providers' calls and medical questions to Pharmacist. Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties. Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations. Adheres to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license. Experience: No previous experience required. Certification and Licensing: Valid State of Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
