Role Description This full-time Outside Sales Representative role is a hybrid position based in San Marcos, TX, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves visiting contractor customers in the field, conducting on-site sales calls, and presenting SteelHold's fastener and construction supply solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, managing an active sales pipeline, and performing product demonstrations and sales presentations tailored to customer needs. The Outside Sales Representative will maintain regular contact with existing accounts, provide responsive customer service, and gather feedback to inform product and service improvements. The role also includes preparing quotes, tracking orders, collaborating with internal teams on inventory and logistics, and using CRM tools to document activities and outcomes. Qualifications Strong skills in Sales Presentations and Communication to effectively explain product value and close deals. Proven ability in Relationship Building and Customer Service to maintain long-term, trust-based client partnerships. Experience in New Business Development, including prospecting, lead qualification, and territory growth. Ability to work in a hybrid model, manage time independently, and organize visits across the San Marcos, TX area. Basic understanding of construction supplies or industrial products; fastener industry experience is a plus. Comfort using CRM or sales tracking software, email, and basic productivity tools to manage accounts and reporting. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for customer visits and occasional regional meetings.
