Overview FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a nationally recognized health care system located in central North Carolina. Comprised of four hospitals with more than 600 beds, the system also offers leading‑edge heart care in the Reid Heart Center, the area’s only dedicated heart and vascular center. The system serves more than 6,200 employees in more than 75 locations throughout a 15‑county service area. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room in accordance with FirstHealth protocols. Work under the supervision of the Emergency Room Charge Nurse and in collaboration with the ER Physician. Maintain required certifications and skills through continuing education, skills testing, and re‑certification processes set by the state of North Carolina and FirstHealth. Support safe and effective patient flow in the Emergency Room. Qualifications Current North Carolina Emergency Medical Services Paramedic certification/licensure is required.
