Prep Cook - Part Time

Job Title: Prep Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Our hotel operates seven days a week, and all team members must be flexible and ready to adapt their schedules based on business demands. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Station Setup: Properly and timely set up your assigned station for each service period, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are prepared and organized. Store food in designated containers and storage area to prevent spoilage.
• Food Preparation: Prepare all dishes according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor food quality and portion sizes to ensure that they meet the restaurant's standards and guest expectations.
• Timely Service: Ensure that food is delivered to the correct area and on time, coordinating with other kitchen staff to facilitate smooth operations during busy periods.
• Post-Service Cleanliness: After service, clean and turn off appliances such as ovens, and maintain a tidy and organized work area.
• Production Monitoring: Adhere to production schedules and ensure that all preparations are being followed according to established guidelines and established par. Makes sure production is enough for following shifts.
• Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge and experience in culinary arts are preferred; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates.

• Familiarity with best culinary practices and food preparation techniques.
• Ability to handle challenging situations effectively and with professionalism.
• Capable of working quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure during peak service times.
• Flexibility with work hours, with scheduling subject to business demands.
