Adjunct Faculty - Environmental Science

Adjunct Faculty – Environmental Science Adjacent faculty position in the College of Science and Health, Department of Environmental Science, teaching undergraduate courses online and/or in person. Responsibilities Develop relevant syllabi and course materials for up to six credits per semester based on the course outline. Teach courses, utilizing a mix of in‑person and online instruction as needed. Provide consistent and effective support and guidance to students, contributing to their success through role modeling, mentoring, and timely availability for questions. Assess learning outcomes and align assessment methods with course objectives. Qualifications Required: Ph.D., JD, or Master’s degree in a related discipline, and ability to teach online. Preferred: Demonstrated professional activity within the discipline (e.g., academic or industry experience), experience teaching both online and in person, and published peer or non‑peer reviewed articles, conference papers, blogs, or books. Compensation Adjuncts receive a per‑credit rate: $2,100 per credit for new employees and $2,175 per credit for those with 13+ semesters at WP.
